Gutters are often neglected, especially on two story homes. But with rain and wind comes debris and possible damage.
What's the Safest, Easiest Method?
Cleaning Your Gutters From the Ground The safest, easiest way to clean your gutters on your own is from the ground on your two feet. Gutters are pretty low maintenance, especially if you're not in a wooded area. If you have a regular garden hose, the only other attachment you need is a curved extension to fit into the gutter ($27 on Amazon). Start near the downspout and move along the gutter, clearing out the entire channel. Then move back towards the downspout. You'll see water, leaves, sticks, and other types of small debris start to shoot out from the sides. You might also want to use some gutter wash.
